PD DR. MED. VET. IRENE SCHILLER

Irene Schiller is veterinarian with more than 20 years experience in diagnostics. She holds a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Zurich (1993). In 2007 she finished with a certificate of advanced studies at the Lucerne Business School. In 2010 she was appointed associate professor for Veterinary Public Health at the University of Bern.

After working in diagnostics at the University of Zurich for more than 11 years, she joined Prionics AG in 2002, where she drove the development of new business fields, mainly bovine tuberculosis diagnostics. From 2008 to 2011 she held a position at the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office of Switzerland, Bern, as health program manager, head of research management and head of approval of veterinary diagnostics related to notifiable animal diseases. Irene Schiller is a co-founder of Malcisbo AG (2010), where she acted as Chief Medical Officer until mid 2020. The company develops carbohydrate-based vaccines. Since 2010 Irene Schiller is member of the Board of Directors of the WAVLD (World Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians) and she is member of several national and international organizations (e.g. International Veterinary Vaccinology Network). Since 2020 she serves as Senior Partner at Expertinova AG.
